emi-elly ("we", "our", "us") operates emielly.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our Service. It is designed to comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and India's Information Technology Act and Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA) 2023.

Our core principle: your financial data never leaves your device. All EMI calculations happen entirely in your browser.

2. What Data We Collect

Financial inputs (not collected): Loan amounts, interest rates, tenure, income — all are processed locally in your browser and are never transmitted to our servers.

Analytics data (collected via Google Analytics): Pages visited, time on page, approximate geographic location (country/state level), browser type, device type, and referring website. This data is anonymised and aggregated and cannot identify you personally.

Advertising data (via Google AdSense): Google AdSense may collect information about your browsing behaviour to serve personalised advertisements. This is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

No user accounts: We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any personally identifiable information.

3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), our legal bases for processing are:

  • Legitimate Interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): Analytics to improve the Service, where these interests are not overridden by your data protection rights.

Since we do not collect personally identifiable information, there is no personal data to retain or delete. Anonymised analytics data retained by Google Analytics is subject to Google's own retention policies (typically 26 months).

emi-elly is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

9. International Data Transfers

Analytics and advertising data may be processed by Google LLC in the United States. Google complies with applicable data transfer frameworks including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) for EU data transfers.
